North Road Loft Auction List

Pair #1   AU04SAC0800 Blue Bar                  +           AU04SRP4340  Blue Checker
This pair is a "hit pair."  Their offspring have won more than $3,000 in classic
races in 3 years and won or placed in many long-distance races in several lofts
including Ridgetop Loft of Ron Schmidt,  Royal Oaks Loft of Danny Welch,
and North Road Loft. They are very reliable.  If you had a team from just this
one pair, you would be successful.  0800 is from the loft of Larry Miller of
Sacramento, bred from "Black Elk," AU96NVI0333 and "Black Feather,"
AU99NR0091.  4340 is "Super 73" from Peter Gijs, Campbell Stange, Steve
Canby and from Larry Miller's AU03SAC0255 in North Road's Loft.
***minimum value of this pair:  $550.  Starting out I would have taken a
bank loan to get them. They will  earn you much more over time.

Pair #2     AU05SRP7102 Pencil                     +         AU04SRP4321 Blue Bar
#7102 is the son of pair #1.  He was a top money winner in the Shasta Classic,
placing 2nd or 3rd in all races 100, 250 & 300...5th overall, one of the most
consistent.  His sis, 7103 did nearly as well and was flown to 500 by Danny
Welch, winning a 2nd or 3rd.  Brother, 5134, won 4th champion bird overall,
out to 550 miles for Danny Welch.  Brother, #646, won 425 miles for Ron
Schmidt.  Has bred a number of diploma winners with #0255, but this mating
is new. #4321 is bred from "Super 73" stock from Gijs Peters and  "Wonder-
duiven" & "Ostar" of the loft of W.C. Hey.  An excellent flyer both in young
birds and old.  She won a very difficult 550 from Okanagan, WA, in 2006.
Raced 5,000 miles in her lifetime.  This will be a great breeding pair.
***minimum value of this pair:  $450.

                 Singles

AU00SRP0320 - White Cock.  A good, old boy, but he may be sterile.  He has
bred some fine birds for Ron Schmidt, but has not filled any eggs lately.  I'll
take    $30 for him or just keep flying him around here.

AU01RBPC0944 Blue Check Hen.  A daughter of #906, my Digest Long-
distance HOF cock, ½ HVR & ½ Jan Aarden.  Mother is from the Admiral
Jan Aarden line.  She was a late hatch and has no particular race record.
                 $40.

AU03SAC0255 - Blue Bar Hen.  Ron Schmidt believes that this is the best
breeding hen I have owned...he may be right.  She has bred diploma and race
winners with five different cocks up to 550 miles.  She bred a money winner in
the Melville Classic mated to #7102, her grandson.  She is the mother to 4340
7th drop in the state race; mother to 4311, my high-point bird of the year in
2006, also 3rd from the 600.  I paid $45 for her at the POP winter benefit sale
in 2003, but now the bidding will start at $450.  Here again, I would have taken
a bank loan.  She is as proven as any breeder I have known...you can't miss.

AU04SRP4311 Blue Check Hen.  She was my "workhorse" on celebate hens.
High-point bird of the year in 2006...she never won a race, but flew so
consistently that she out scored all the good birds she flew against, 5th -425,
                 25th - 250, 16th - 500 & 3rd - 600.  She has bred some good birds with 7102,
her cousin and is a sister to 4340.  I'll start her bidding at $200.

AU05SRP7199 Blue Check Hen.  This was a late hatch "love mating."  Still,
she is bred from good birds.  She is:  Tournier, van Loon, Janssen, Jan
Aarden, HVR.  0800 + 4340,  plus 3 HOF winners in her pedigree.
                  Start at $30.

AU07SRP8243 White Tail-marked Hen.  A late hatch, good flyer, but had no
chance to race.  Bred for me by Ron Schmidt from Roger Mortvedt stock to
a Jerry Wallace Fabry.  Start at:  $45.

                 AU06SRP8890 Blue Check Hen.  This is one of the finest hens I have owned;
bred by Danny Welch for me from his AU03SRP454 "Big Block" and AU05
SRP7103, sister to #7102 above.  "Big Block" has a great racing record for
Danny for more than two years;  he was second right behind my #2248 in
                  2004 as a yearling.  2248 was a long-distance HOFer.  After a great record
in the Shasta Classic, 7103 was second for Danny from the 425.
                  8890 starts at:  $150.

AU06SRP9012 Dark Check W/F Hen.  Great long-distance stock.  Father,
4373, is the son of #2248, my long-distance HOF hen.  The mother, 7151, is
from Owen Martin's famous #30 line of Fabrys.  The sis to 7151, #331 won
425 mile race from Yakima in 2004 by 2 hours and nine minutes...she was
only 11 months old.  Start this hen at:  $45.

AU06SRP9013 Blue Bar Hen.  Nestmate to 9012.  Start at:  $45.

AU06SRP9026 Dark Check Hen.  Father 7135, son of 2248 HOF hen.
                  Mother:  7115 from the #30 line.  Sister to:  331, 7151.  $45.

                  AU06SRP9027 Mealy Cock.  Nestmate to:  9026.  $45.

AU07SRP627 White Flecked Cock.  Father:  from Roger Mortvedt Whites
and mother from a good loft of whites in Sacramento...mother flew very
well in the Shasta Classic in '07.  $45.

Notice:
There are 54 birds on this list...all the racing homers I have.  I kept nothing but the best.  The suggested prices listed with each bird is what I consider to be a fair price.
They are suggested sale prices.  The bidders may bid less and I may take their lower bid
or take the bird down and keep it to fly around here.  This seems to me to be a fair market
method.   All birds will be fully pedigreed by Hawkeye.
The prices of the lofts and equipment will not be negotiable.  If you count your building skills for nothing, you may be able to build them for less...but I doubt it.  You may e-mail to carlsc@charter.net or call on the telephone  for pictures of the lofts.
The website is for sale as well.  In 3 years I have had more than 5,000 hits on it
and have sold numerous tumblers, white homers and racing homers through it.  It is easy to use with a little study.  I use the website building program KompoZer to manage it.
The program is free and there are several tutorials available.
Of course, you can use any website builder you wish.  I have the site docked at Godaddy.com, but you can put it anywhere you want.  Godaddy is reasonably priced.
I do not know the site's real value, but I will sell it for $250 or the highest bid.  You
will get that back in one on-line sale.
